About Lorna Shore

Lorna Shore first came together in 2010, with Adam De Micco on guitar and a lineup that featured Ray Meoni, Aaron Brown, Jeff Moskovciak, Gary Herrera, and Scott Cooper. It wasn't long before they found their new vocalist, Tom Barber, who joined the band after a chance encounter at a New Jersey Mall. With their lineup solidified, Lorna Shore wasted no time in releasing their debut EP, "Triumph," in 2010. This was followed by two more EPs, "Bone Kingdom" in 2012 and "Maleficium" in 2013. In 2015, Lorna Shore unleashed their first full-length album, "Psalms." This album showcased the band's signature blend of deathcore and blackened deathcore, with brutal breakdowns and blistering guitar solos. Their intense and dark lyrical themes added depth to their already powerful sound. Two years later, they released their second full-length album, "Flesh Coffin," which further solidified their status as one of the most exciting bands in the genre. Despite their success, Lorna Shore faced some challenges in 2018 when vocalist Tom Barber and bassist Gary Herrera departed from the band. Barber joined Chelsea Grin as a replacement for Alex Koehler, while Herrera cited growing disillusionment with music as his reason for leaving. Lorna Shore soon found their new frontman in CJ McCreery, formerly of Signs Of The Swarm, and recruited guitarist Connor Deffley to take over bass duties. With the new lineup, Lorna Shore released the single "This Is Hell," which received critical acclaim. In 2019, Lorna Shore faced another setback when they abruptly fired CJ McCreery due to a string of abuse and sexual misconduct allegations against him. Despite the controversy, the band decided to release their third studio album, "Immortal," which had been recorded with McCreery. This decision was met with mixed reactions, but Lorna Shore stayed resilient and continued their musical journey. To overcome the challenges, Lorna Shore enlisted Will Ramos as their new vocalist for tour dates and announced him as their permanent frontman in 2021. They released their fourth EP, "...And I Return to Nothingness," which showcased their evolution as a band. The single "To The Hellfire" received widespread acclaim within the metal community for its rhythmic composition and Ramos' powerful performance. In 2022, Lorna Shore released their fourth full-length album, "Pain Remains." The lead single, "Sun//Eater," showcased the band's ability to create heavy and melodic tracks. The album's subsequent singles, "Into The Earth" and "Cursed To Die," demonstrated a slightly different sound while still maintaining the band's signature heaviness. The title track served as the album's closer and featured three movements that were released individually. "Pain Remains" showcased Lorna Shore's musical versatility and their commitment to pushing the boundaries of the genre. Despite the obstacles they have faced, Lorna Shore continues to impress fans and critics alike with their relentless energy and uncompromising music. With their powerful performances and captivating lyrics, they have carved out a unique place in the metal scene. As they continue to evolve and experiment with their sound, it's clear that Lorna Shore is a force to be reckoned with in the world of deathcore and blackened deathcore.
